Product FAQ’s

What material is used for making HPCP tiles?

Our HDCP ties are made using waste plastic, different types of polymers are combined with mixing agents to build our heat resistant, unbreakable, antimicrobial and anti skidding HPCP tiles.

Are these heat resistant?

YES, they can bear temperatures upto 140 degrees.

What is the load bearing capacity of HDCP tiles?

We have two varieties of HDCP™ tiles; the heavy weight tile has a load-bearing capacity of 40 tonnes, and the lightweight tile has a load-bearing capacity of 20 tonnes. Our HDCP™ tiles have successfully passed the required strength tests.

Do they release any hazardous gases or have any other harmful chemical effects during processing?

No, we are an environment conscious company and the processes used to manufacture our HDCP tiles are environment friendly and have been approved by necessary pollution control authorities.

What about quality control for HDCP™ tiles?

Shayna Ecounified India Pvt Ltd's HDCP™ tiles have several quality control tests that are used to meet product specifications and standardizations. HDCP™ tile inspection test established by the ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials) include tensile strength, flammability, thermal stability, compression strength, water absorption analysis, uv accelerated weathering, fire retardant, antistatic, zero halogen with no emission, glass transition temperature, permeability, environmental stability, resistance against strong acids & bases tests.

What is the laying process of HDCP Tiles?

For fixing tiles using sand and cement follow the instructions given below:

a) Before starting the project, start with a dry run by laying out the tiles in the desired design/pattern (if using multiple colour tiles) on a plain leveled surface.

b) Use Cement and sand mortar in the ratio of 1:3. Add some water to create a consistent paste.

c) Once the mixing has been completed, DO NOT add more water and use the mixture within one hour.

d) Apply a 15-20 mm layer of bedding material evenly spread over an area of 2 x 2 section/surface of floor/area at a time or as per directions of the site supervisor & engineer-in charge. Ensure that the tiled surface is leveled. Press gently for even adherence at the back of tile. Do not use iron hammer. Always use wooden hammer to press the tile.

e) Lay out tiles from the center of area in the desired design/pattern (if using multiple color tiles) so that cut tiles, if any will be on the outer edges towards walls or side.

f) Wait for 24-48 hours after fixing tiles. The area should be completely protected from pedestrian traffic or any subsequent disturbances for this period.

Please note the company does not accept any liability in case of problem arising out of non-adherence to these tile fixing instructions.

THE COMPANY WILL BARE NO RESPONSIBILITY AFTER TILES ARE FIXED. NOTHING IN THIS INSTRUCTION IS THE SUBSITUTE FOR A GOOD WORKMANSHIP AND SUPERVISION.
